2014. Zoho BugTracker adds Kanban View and Free version
Zoho BugTracker added two great improvements. First is Kanban View. It's a representation of your bugs as cards placed in different columns. Each column represents a bug status, such as Open, In progress, and To be tested. A simple drag and drop allows bugs to be moved from one column to another, provided the workflow you have defined, permits such a move. Besides, the services now provides a free subscription plan for small teams that includes 1 Project, 10 MB Storage Space, Project Feeds, Issue Tracking, Forums and Documents, CSV import and user management. Moreover, Zoho BugTracker is now included in the free version of project management app Zoho Projects.
2011. Zoho launched SaaS bug-tracker
About a year ago Zoho added the bug-tracking module to its project-management service Zoho Projects. But the trouble with this module was that it was available only in the most expensive version of the service, which costs $699/year. Now Zoho launches a separate service Zoho BugTracker. "Finally, they wake up!" - most developers will say now and start testing the service. They will be even more delighted when find out that Zoho BugTracker provides the interface on their native language (16 languages supported), integrated with the popular free project hosting GitHub, integrated with Google Docs, fully integrated with Email (for notifications, and adding bugs), contains forum, file storage, activity streams, custom workflows, custom fields, custom views and reports. However, the positive will be finished when the developers take a look at the price. What could one expect from such a service by Zoho a couple of years ago? Of course, that it would be free, or, at least, it would provide a free version and the paid versions - would be affordable even for poor startups. But it seems those days are over. It turned out that the cost even of Zoho BugTracker's junior-edition (20 projects and 5 GB) is comparable to the cost of the most expensive Zoho Projects edition - $40/month. And the high-end versions - are even more expensive than Zoho Projects.
