2006. Net2Phone sues Skype
Net2Phone, an internet phone company, has taken legal action against Skype Technologies and its parent company, eBay, by filing a patent infringement lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, alleging that Skype violated Net2Phone's patent, No. 6,108,704, which pertains to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
