Latest news about Duda

2018. Duda integrated with Yext

The industry-leading website builder Duda has integrated with Yext, the leader in Digital Knowledge Management. This integration will simplify the experience of managing an effective digital presence by pulling key business information, such as locations, opening hours, and product offerings, from Yext into Duda and syncing this data across the web. The integration will pull business data directly into the Duda platform to make website builds faster, and keep key SMB business data in sync across their website and the 100+ intelligent services in the Yext Powerlistings Network, including Google, Apple, Facebook, Bing, and Yahoo. In addition, Duda will leverage Yext’s Knowledge Tags to insert Google-friendly schema markup to ensure search engines and other services can read and display in-depth information from websites in search, improving information quality and search experience across the internet.

2017. Duda launched new tablet editor

The world is a busy place these days, and people are often working on-the-go. This is especially true of website builders, who aren’t always sitting at their desks when they want to edit and build their customers’ websites. So Duda made some serious improvements to our tablet editor, so that customers could easily build and edit sites, everywhere. The new tablet editor isn’t just a smaller version of the desktop version. It’s a thoughtfully designed adaptation that gives you and your customers the freedom to build and edit sites anywhere, easily and quickly. From your customer’s place of business. On a train. At a coffee shop. At the beach. Wherever you go, you can load images, move widgets, tweak content, check analytics, publish sites, and more.

2016. Duda introduced new responsive website builder

Duda has rebuilt its responsive website builder in a way that would make site building faster, the user experience more intuitive and, ultimately. The new builder has been engineered using React, an open-source JavaScript library for building user interfaces. This Facebook-developed technology means the platform is much more robust and flexible. The drag-and-drop functionality feels smoother the editor now loads up to 40% faster than before.  The new features include new layouts options, more color overlays, a new Icon Widget, 22 more fonts, interpage anchors, custom backgrounds per page, video backgrounds on columns and popups, Open Graph support, more flexible Photo Gallery.

2016. Duda Partnered with Let’s Encrypt to provide Free SSL Certificates

Duda is making SSL certificates available to every paid Duda responsive website at no extra cost. What are the benefits? Some of the big players in the web industry have been trying a carrot and stick approach to get webmasters onboard with the whole “secure internet” thing. For example, Google adds an SEO benefit to sites that are encrypted (secured) with an SSL certificate. However, the latest versions of certain browsers are beginning to limit what features an unsecured website can have access to (for more on this, check out this article on Mozilla about an advanced feature called service workers).

2014. Duda unveils own Website Analytics

A short while ago, Duda introduced new statistics interface. It was Google Analytics free version, which is a good service. However when you have a large amount of data, Google only uses a small percentage of the overall stats to calculate the final results. While this works fine to give you a statistically valid estimate, when you start drilling down into detailed reports you can occasionally end up with misleading results. Another shortcoming is that some requests take a long time to calculate. The new solution is hosted by Duda and the service stores all the data and runs all the calculations internally. This is faster because it’s tuned specifically for our system and more accurate because it does not rely on a sample of the data but instead uses all of it.
