Vymo, the startup behind a mobile-first service designed to assist salespeople in effectively managing their leads and optimizing productivity, has successfully raised $18 million in a recent funding round. The funds will be utilized to expand Vymo's presence in the United States and other global markets. Vymo functions as a customer relationship management (CRM) solution and seamlessly integrates with popular CRMs such as Salesforce. The service enables salespeople to automatically capture essential details of their business interactions, including calls, visits, messages, emails, calendar events, and engagement levels. This comprehensive tracking and management system allows for efficient lead management. With a workforce of approximately 100 employees, Vymo has attracted over 40 enterprise customers across seven countries, including prominent life insurance firms such as AIA Group and AXA. Notably, Vymo's service is utilized by more than 100,000 salespeople worldwide.


2018. Zoho's Zia learned to speak like Cortana


Zoho CRM 2018 has introduced a new update that enhances its AI-powered sales assistant, Zia, by adding voice capabilities. With this update, Zia can now interact with users through both voice commands and chat messages to perform various actions within Zoho CRM. Need to check your schedule for the day? Simply ask Zia. On the move and want to verify if you have enough inventory of a specific product before meeting a customer? Just ask Zia. Want to quickly mark a deal as Closed-Won after a phone call? Let Zia handle it for you. You can engage with Zia using either the voice interface in the Zoho CRM app on your iPhone or Android device, or through the chat bar in Zoho CRM on your desktop web browser. It's worth noting that Microsoft integrated its voice assistant, Cortana, into Dynamics CRM nearly three years ago.


2017. Zoho CRM got AI assistant



Zoho has introduced Zia, an Artificial Intelligence-powered Sales Assistant for Zoho CRM. With Zia, users can receive notifications when something exceptional or problematic occurs within their sales operations. This intelligent assistant understands users' intentions and assists in accomplishing tasks more efficiently, eliminating the need for prolonged voicemails and unread emails. Over time, Zia learns the most frequent actions performed by individual users on Zoho CRM. Additionally, Zoho has introduced Blueprint, a platform for automating sales processes, and has enhanced two existing features: Zoho PhoneBridge, which integrates a customer's PBX system with Zoho CRM, and SalesSignals, which delivers real-time information about customer and prospect activities.


2016. Microsoft Dynamics 365 became generally available


Microsoft has officially launched Dynamics 365, a comprehensive cloud solution that combines its ERP and CRM functionalities, positioning itself as a direct competitor to Salesforce. With pricing starting at $70 per user per month, Dynamics 365 offers a web interface as well as a mobile app and can also be seamlessly integrated within the familiar Outlook applications. In this release, Microsoft has incorporated intelligent features specifically designed for sales and service professionals. The first is Customer Insights, an independent cloud service that enables users to aggregate diverse internal and external data sources, including platforms like Facebook and Trip Advisor. The second feature, Relationship Insights, equips salespeople with real-time information about the state of their customer relationships. Powered by the Cortana Intelligence Suite, which Microsoft introduced in 2015, Relationship Insights utilizes tools such as sentiment analysis to assess the likelihood of closing a deal and determine the best course of action. Microsoft has taken steps to consolidate its artificial intelligence tools into a cohesive division, aligning with the industry trend of integrating intelligence into various product offerings, extending beyond CRM vendors alone.


2016. Google launched virtual assistant called Google Assistant



Google has introduced its own voice-based digital assistant called Google Assistant, which surpasses Siri and Cortana in terms of intelligence. You can pose a question and receive an answer, as well as ask follow-up questions, with Google comprehending the conversation and providing accurate responses. Google Assistant will be integrated into the new Google messaging app, Allo, and will actively participate in conversations, automatically offering assistance on topics such as dinner reservations that the group is discussing. Additionally, it will fetch relevant external information, such as restaurant cards (similar to those found in Google Now and search results), and seamlessly guide users through specifying the number of diners, preferred dining time, and making reservations through Open Table.
