2018. Weebly brings more e-commerce features to mobile

Website builder Weebly announced a number of new e-commerce features for the Weebly mobile app. Those features include the ability to ship and print labels, to respond to customer questions (via Facebook Messenger, which can be embedded on Weebly sites), to approve customer reviews, to create branded coupon codes and to edit every aspect of your store, including product listing and pricing — all from the app. Much of this functionality already existed on desktop, so the announcement is about moving these capabilities onto smartphones. In a blog post, the company outlined a vision for the mobile phone to become “the new back office.”

2018. Shopify now allows to fulfill orders directly from your phone

Shopify app for iOS and Android now supports buying and printing shipping labels from your phone. You can create and print labels immediately, or save them to print later, and you can manage your entire shipping workflow from the palm of your hand. You also get full access to everything you currently use in Shopify Shipping, including our low rates with supported carriers (UPS, DHL Express, USPS, and Canada Post) directly in the Shopify app.

2017. Shopify Mobile adds Discounts, Product Collections, Live View, and More

Last year during Black Friday Cyber Monday, more Shopify merchants logged in on mobile than on desktop. That’s why this year the developers focused on making key features you need for your #BFCMWin available on your phone or tablet. You can now create, modify, and manage discounts from your phone and tablet. Another new feature - Product collections is one of the best ways to help your customers find what they’re looking for quickly. Now, you can set up and modify Product Collections on mobile in the Shopify app. And with Live View on mobile, you can keep track of your store’s performance in real-time, which is especially handy during high-traffic days like BFCM weekend.

2017. Duda launched new tablet editor

The world is a busy place these days, and people are often working on-the-go. This is especially true of website builders, who aren’t always sitting at their desks when they want to edit and build their customers’ websites. So Duda made some serious improvements to our tablet editor, so that customers could easily build and edit sites, everywhere. The new tablet editor isn’t just a smaller version of the desktop version. It’s a thoughtfully designed adaptation that gives you and your customers the freedom to build and edit sites anywhere, easily and quickly. From your customer’s place of business. On a train. At a coffee shop. At the beach. Wherever you go, you can load images, move widgets, tweak content, check analytics, publish sites, and more.

2015. Shopify allows to create an online store from mobile phone

E-commerce company Shopify has launched a new app called Sello that allows businesses to build online stores. With Sello, you just snap a photo of the product that you want to sell, add a price and description, then you’re ready to go. You’ll be able to accept credit card and PayPal payments, and you can share your product listings on social networks. Sello is less about product discovery and more about creating those product listings and handling the purchases. Sello is available for iOS and Android. It’s a free app and there are no transaction fees (but you will have to pay for payment processing).
