Cloud Email software for business

2019. Gmail now allows to schedule emails

Google has added to GMail the ability to schedule drafted emails to be sent at specified times in the future. That's the kind of thing you could be forgiven for thinking Gmail already had, but it will likely be a welcome addition nevertheless. Also Google announced some extensions to the popular email ciient's Smart Compose feature that completes sentences for you on occasion. Google is enhancing it so it can supposedly emulate your writerly voice, meaning it can better adapt to informal ways of greeting email recipients now. It will even suggest subject lines now, according to Google. In addition to that, Smart Compose will now work in Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese alongside English and support Gmail for Android.

2018. Zoho Mail gets major UI update

Just a week after major GMail interface update, Zoho released new Zoho Mail 2018 with cool new design. The developers decided to help the icons in the App bar, and the Quick Actions buttons, stand out more by redesigning them and making them more colorful. For those who like the Compact view because it lets you view more emails at once, we’ve taken it a step further with the Super Compact view. The new Advanced Search helps you track down elusive content hiding in your inbox, even with the tiniest detail you can remember. With the tabs and search bar replacing the top bar, the other icons on it are shifted to the right side of your mailbox for better visibility.

2018. Yahoo Mail launches new wave of updates

While we are waiting for the big revamp of Gmail, its competitor Yahoo Mail released its own set of updates, covering both new personalization features and faster performance times. Among the changes that are now in place, there is a 50 percent reduction in JavaScript exceptions; and a 20 percent reduction in overall API failures. In terms of new features, there are: photo themes (the ability to add new backgrounds behind the actual interface of the otherwise relatively-vanilla mail service), tighter and better integration with calendar, smarter out of office responders.

2017. Outlook.com gets LinkedIn integration

LinkedIn integration within Outlook.com is now going live, allowing email users to view insights, profile pictures, work history and more from within their inbox. This would not be the first time that LinkedIn data found its way into email. Before being bought by Microsoft, LinkedIn itself acquired a smaller company called Rapportive which made a then popular Gmail add-in that integrated social profile data into Gmail’s web app. It later revamped the app to focus more heavily on the LinkedIn integration, and less on connections to other services like Facebook and Twitter. With the new Outlook integration, customers can click on an email contact’s name right in their inbox then view a rich contact card that includes a link to their LinkedIn profile.
