2018. Weebly brings more e-commerce features to mobile

Website builder Weebly announced a number of new e-commerce features for the Weebly mobile app. Those features include the ability to ship and print labels, to respond to customer questions (via Facebook Messenger, which can be embedded on Weebly sites), to approve customer reviews, to create branded coupon codes and to edit every aspect of your store, including product listing and pricing — all from the app. Much of this functionality already existed on desktop, so the announcement is about moving these capabilities onto smartphones. In a blog post, the company outlined a vision for the mobile phone to become “the new back office.”
2018. Weebly launched Photo Studio service

Weebly launched new service - Photo studio - for entrepreneurs who want beautiful, professional product photos for their online store. It works as follows: you ship your product (or products) to Weebly, then Weebly Photo Studio shoots professional product photos for you, you get a link to download product photos, they ship your products back to you. 2018. Google Sites now lets you publish protected content

Google has announced a key update to the new version of its Google Sites website-building platform, one that gives organizations more flexibility over who can access specific content. Now creators and admins can hand-pick who within an organization is able to view a particular site by entering individual names in the Invite People box and selecting “Specific people can view when published” from the drop-down menu. This is a key update, one that should encourage uptake of the new Google Sites by enabling organizations to maintain a degree of privacy over confidential information. For now, the feature is only available on the web, but Google said it will be landing in the Google Drive mobiles app on both Android and iOS in the coming weeks.

2016. Totally rebuilt Google Sites features adaptive design and real-time collaboration
Google unveiled totally rebuilt version of its website builder for creating intranet - Google Sites. It's now deeply integrated with the rest of Google’s tools. You can easily insert documents from Google Docs, Slides, Sheets and the rest of the G Suite tools. It also directly integrates with Google Analytics. The new sites now also allows multiple users to collaboratively edit a site (using the same tech the company also uses in Google Docs). Admins can choose whether users are able to publish to the web or only able to make their pages available to users on their own domain. With this update, any pages you create in Sites will also automatically scale according to the screen size you are using — and its preview mode makes it easy to see what a site will look like on a phone, tablet and desktop. In order to make those sites look halfway professional, Google added six new themes to get you started.

2016. Website builder Weebly adds marketing emails

Website building service for small businesses Weebly launched Promote, a platform for building marketing emails. Email marketing is the number two concern for small businesses behind their website,” CEO David Rusenko said. However, more than half of Weebly users aren’t taking advantage of existing email marketing tools, because “it’s confusing and hard for them. So Promote allows them to build those emails using the same drag-and-drop tools they use to build their websites. Weebly Promote is currently limited to users of the existing Weebly platform, but the plan is to make it available to everyone soon. Pricing starts at $8 a month.
2015. Website builder Weebly adds App Center

Weebly, the tool for building websites and online stores., is launching the third generation of its product today, which it calls Carbon. Specifically, Carbon includes an App Center with about 40 partner apps to start, tackling some of those other business needs that he was talking about — for example, businesses that need help with shipping can use the Shippo app. The apps can also be integrated with a redesigned dashboard. These integrations could allow customers to see all the stats that are relevant to the business — not just website visits, but data from apps like Weebly’s customer support service SimpleChat.
