Nutanix
The industry’s most popular hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution. Effortlessly leverage cloud-like agility and ease of use, coupled with on-premises security and control, as you leave behind the complexity and cost of legacy solutions.
AWS Outposts and Nutanix are two solutions that bring the benefits of cloud computing to on-premises infrastructure.

AWS Outposts is a service offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that extends the AWS infrastructure and services to customers' data centers. It allows organizations to run AWS services locally on their own hardware, providing a consistent hybrid cloud experience. AWS Outposts enables seamless integration with other AWS services and offers a wide range of managed services, security features, and scalability options.

Nutanix, on the other hand, is a software-defined hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution that combines compute, storage, and networking resources into a single platform. Nutanix provides a comprehensive infrastructure stack, including its own hypervisor, storage management, and virtualization capabilities. It offers organizations the flexibility to build and manage their private cloud environments with simplified infrastructure management and scalability.

While both AWS Outposts and Nutanix aim to provide on-premises cloud capabilities, there are some key differences. AWS Outposts is tightly integrated with the AWS ecosystem, allowing customers to leverage existing AWS services, tools, and APIs. It offers a wide range of cloud services, including compute, storage, database, analytics, and AI, making it suitable for organizations heavily invested in the AWS ecosystem. Nutanix, on the other hand, provides a hyperconverged infrastructure platform that offers simplicity and flexibility for managing on-premises infrastructure with its own suite of tools and services.

2019. AWS Outposts brings Amazon cloud to data center

Amazon has officially launched Outposts, a private cloud hardware stack that can be installed in your own data center. Certain workloads, such as factory operations, require close proximity to compute resources due to low-latency requirements. Outposts aims to address this need, distinguishing itself from existing solutions by providing a seamless connection between on-premises hardware and the cloud. The hardware stack is equipped with a comprehensive range of services, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, Amazon ECS, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, and Amazon EMR. With this move, Amazon joins Microsoft and Google, who already offer their own hybrid cloud solutions to customers: Azure Arc and Google Anthos, respectively.
