Latest news about Apperian

2017. Arxan Technologies acquired mobile app management startup Apperian

Arxan Technologies, the renowned provider of solutions for preventing application attacks and enabling self-protection, has made an exciting announcement regarding its acquisition of Apperian, a prominent company specializing in mobile application management. This strategic acquisition positions Arxan as the foremost industry leader in delivering comprehensive application security and management solutions for both mobile and IoT applications. Apperian, established in 2009, has emerged as a key player in the mobility sector, particularly in securely distributing enterprise mobile apps. Their advanced platform has facilitated over 2.5 million installations of enterprise apps and has garnered recognition through 12 granted and pending patents. Over the past 24 months, Apperian has experienced an impressive growth rate of more than 180% in its contracted user base. As part of the acquisition, Apperian will continue its operations as a subsidiary of Arxan, under the leadership of the longstanding Apperian executive, Mark Lorion.

2015. Mobile applications management provider Apperian raised $12M

Apperian, a provider of mobile applications management (MAM), has recently secured a funding round of $12 million. MAM refers to the process of provisioning internally developed software, often referred to as a private app store. While Apperian competes with Mobile Device Management (MDM) vendors like AirWatch (acquired by VMware) and Good Technology (recently acquired by BlackBerry), the company sets itself apart by offering customers the ability to deploy applications outside of an MDM system. This unique approach gives Apperian an advantage with customers who wish to distribute custom apps to external parties such as partners, consultants, and non-employees who may be hesitant to grant access to their personal devices.
