It's not a secret that the iPad has no camera, because Steve Jobs hopes to collect another $1K from his loyal customers for this feature in next version. And most likely, he would succeed in the consumer market, but the enterprise market is now a big question. Because mobile videoconferencing - is the main advantage of such tablets over netbooks and smartphones for business. And because today Cisco introduced its tablet Cisco Cius, targeted directly at web-conferencing and business video applications. First of all - Cisco business apps: Webex, Quad, Cisco Telepresence. But since the device is running Android OS - it is open for solutions from any vendor.

Although this is the first computer/device in Cisco's history, its characteristics are really impressive. 7-inch HD touch-screen, 720p HD front-camera, HD dual noise-canceling microphone, accelerometer, Wi-Fi, Bluetouth, 3G and 4G (WiMax or LTE). It's an ultra lightweight device (1.15 lbs) with 8-hour battery.

Cisco Cius will also contain Virtual Desktop so that any application can be streamed to the users' tablet for on the move productivity. It will ensure highly secure remote connections with Cisco AnyConnect Security VPN Client

The device won’t officially launch until early 2011, right around the time Apple is likely to unveil the next version of the iPad.
