2014. Zoho People adopted integration webhooks



Zoho People, a human resources management system, provides an API that enables seamless integration of HR modules with third-party applications. The API incorporates a cutting-edge technology called Webhooks, which allows instant notifications to be dispatched the moment an event is triggered. This means that, for example, when a travel expense record is approved, a webhook promptly notifies the accounting system by invoking its API to initiate the reimbursement process. In contrast, without leveraging webhooks, the API would only be invoked periodically (such as at the end of the day, week, or month) to check for pending reimbursements, resulting in delays in the payment process. Zoho developers emphasize that webhooks offer a superior approach to integrating with third-party systems and custom applications, ensuring continuous data synchronization.


2014. Zoho Recruit allows to process resumes directly from your mailbox



Zoho Recruit, an online recruiting service, has introduced a new feature called Resume Inbox. This tool enables the parsing of resumes directly from your mailbox and transferring them to the database. Depending on your preference, it can parse the email body, attachments, or both. Once you have completed the configuration, there's no need to visit your inbox for resume processing. The Reports view conveniently presents a summary of the added candidate records, including relevant links. It also provides an overview of emails where parsing has failed, along with the reasons for the failure. Furthermore, apart from parsing resumes, the system can automatically associate candidates with specific job openings if they include the Job ID or Job Title in the required format within the email Subject.
