1995 - Open Text and Netscape provide Web-intranet to challenge Nuxeo

Open Text Netscape
Canadian company Open Text that provides search tools for Internet and corporate networks and Netscape unveiled the Web-intranet solutions. The solution is be based on Open Text Latitude lntranet System that allows you to create and administer internal sites and search on internal and external sites. Open Text provides a desktop client software to access these sites, but the company expects wider adoption of standard Web browsers in the Enterprise, which reduce the overall cost of intranet systems. That's why they partnered with Netscape, which develops Web-browser Netscape Navigator and Web-servers Netscape Commerce Server and Netscape Communications Server. In addition to information search and data access, the web-intranet solution can be used for internal communications and collaboration. The server part of the solutions (Latitude Web Server) will cost $12000.
