2017. MindMup now allows to create concept maps

MindMup has evolved into a robust tool for creating concept maps, offering various features to enhance the visualization of relationships and attributes. Users can now leverage multiple methods to represent connections, such as using different line styles (dashed or solid) to depict the strength of relationships and arrows to indicate directions. Additionally, relationships can be clarified through captions displayed on lines, while colors can be used to showcase the similarity between concepts and relationships. Furthermore, the tool allows for the visualization of the relative importance of concepts by adjusting the letter sizes. MindMup remains true to its core purpose of facilitating easy and productive idea visualization, featuring powerful keyboard shortcuts and additional tricks that expedite workflow.

2017. Coggle allows to adjust the thickness and style of branches

Now, all our paid plans for the mind-mapping app Coggle come with an enhanced feature that allows users to customize the thickness and style of branches. To make these adjustments, simply right-click on an item to open the context menu. From there, choose the branch-style icon represented by a colour wheel. You can then select the desired branch thickness or choose between dashed and continuous styles. The "auto" thickness option has been modified to align with the default behavior, causing branches to slightly narrow with each level. As you click, the branch style for the selected branch and its children will be instantly updated. If you wish to modify only the current branch without affecting its children, hold down the [shift] key while selecting the desired style.

2017. MindMup integrates with Google Team Drive

In March, Google Drive received a significant update that enhanced collaboration capabilities with Team Drives. Now, the free mind-mapping app MindMup has introduced support for Team Drives, allowing users to leverage the advantages of the new Google Drive features within their mind maps. This Team Drive support is accessible to both free account users and MindMup Gold subscribers. Most functionalities seamlessly integrate with the app. Users can create, move, and manage MindMup files on Team Drives, treating them just like any other document type. However, it is important to note that sharing and controlling access privileges for a map stored on Team Drive currently only function through the Google Drive web interface, and cannot be directly managed from the MindMup pages.
